Peer Supporter Speciality: Disability

I’m a peer supporter and consultant. I have lived/ living experience of disability in the form of Cerebral Palsy my whole life and know the mental health challenges that can come from that all too well.

Professionally, I have qualifications in Social Work & Peer Support + further training in suicide prevention, mental health and trauma awareness, among others. My professional experience includes 10+ years working across the disability and mental health sectors in Australia with people of all ages, from primary school students to older adults, and all in between, both individually and in group settings, in person and online.

Luna (right) is a (not quite) 10 year old shih tzhou x maltese who has been with me since she was young and has unofficially trained to provide support.

Evie (left) is a shih tzhou x chihuahua who is around a year old and still learning a lot!

Luna & Evie work with me. They star on our social media to assist with illustrating concepts, or you might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of them during a support session!
