Our Support Services

Our services are delivered online via telehealth by a trained peer supporter (please check out our meet the team page for more).

Whether you need practical support like learning to navigate the world with your marginalised identity or emotional support, like coping with challenging experiences, we’re here. We also offer consultations for support professionals.

1:1 Peer Support

1:1 peer support sessions are tailored to and guided by individual clients, focusing on the impacts of marginalised identity when the world is not always accessible, safe, inclusive or built for people like us. Sessions may cover struggles including;

  • Social issues (e.g. exclusion, rejection, ostracism, isolation)

  • stigma & discrimination

  • Learning to navigate the world with your marginalised identity

  • identity

  • Intersectionality of multiple marginalised identities (e.g. disabled & LGBTQIA+)

Community Connection Groups

Group sessions are divided by age (e.g. young people 12-18, adults 18+) and provide a community space to come together, connect, talk about common issues and individual occurrences, and celebrate wins.

  • discounted rate for existing 1:1 clients

  • each group needs a minimum of 5 participants to go ahead

  • each group session limited to a maximum of 10 participants in total

Consults

Our consults seek to enhance the ability of support professionals to support their clients, and other allies to better support their loved ones. We can work 1:1 with support professionals/ allies, or together with support professionals/allies and their client/s or loved one/s. Sessions may cover:

  • Adaptations & Adjustments

  • Bolstering understanding of the lived/ living experience of marginalised identity

  • Facilitating links to other providers and/or recommendations for further training and upskilling

Inquisitive Conversations

Inquistive Conversations are free online events featuring a special guest with professional and/ or experiential expertise to talk about a topic relevant to and driven by questions from our community. Follow us on Social Media for your opportunity to inform upcoming conversations!

    Our staff generally have some element of lived/ living experience. Support services are provided by someone with similar or shared lived/living experience who is trained to support and connect based on shared understanding and mutuality, among other things.

  • Trauma Informed

    We operate from the assumption that everyone may have experienced trauma and prioritise ensuring safety.

  • Strengths Based

    We focus on your strengths instead of emphasising your weaknesss

  • Human Rights Based

    We believe in the inherent value of all individuals and work to ensure everyone’s human rights are realised and honoured (as much as we can).
